The Spectrum Turf Project will be a long term & financially viable entity for it's stakeholders, SD61 and the community at large. The $2.2 million project will see buy-in partners pay an hourly rate for each hour of use. This hourly rate of use will cover the:
Despite this cumulative hourly rate, in the long-run turf buy-in partners will save thousands of dollars on expensive field rentals which are anticipated to go up with inflation.
Along with buy-in partner costs / hour, non buy-in partners or field rentals will help offset replacement, maintenance and utility costs. It's important to note that we have already received letters of support from community associations wanting to rent the field.
This all bodes well for the long term viability of the project.
